For 37 years, Charles Eiss has been a practicing trial attorney with a specialization in employment law. “Chuck”, as he prefers to be called, graduated from the University of Virginia in 1983 with a BS in Commerce and Finance. Three years later, Chuck earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. That same year Chuck was admitted to the Bar of the State of Florida and has been a member in good standing ever since.
From 1986 to 2006 Chuck was an attorney at respected firms in South Florida, together with a stint as an Assistant State Attorney in Fort Lauderdale where he had the opportunity to try nearly 100 cases to jury ranging from DUI to Murder. Making the decision to go solo in 2006 after having served as the head of a litigation department for more than a decade, Chuck founded Law Offices of Charles Eiss. Opening its doors officially on New Year’s Day in 2007, Chuck has continued his distinguished career representing employers and employees alike in a wide variety of employment law cases and issues.
Chuck has been admitted to courts at all levels of the judicial system throughout the State of Florida including the State and Federal Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Florida Court of Compensation Claims, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court in Washington, DC. He has also represented clients pro hac vice in various other federal courts around the country.
Chuck is the past president of the South Broward Lawyer Association where he sits on the Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Broward County Bar Association where he serves on the Bench & Bar Committee, the Convention Committee, and has chaired the Mentoring Committee and Solo & Small Firm Section. In his role as chairman of the Mentoring Committee, Chuck has helped over 100 inexperienced attorneys hone their skills in excellence by pairing them with lawyers who have years in their respective fields. As chair of the Solo & Small Firm Section, he helped lead the group back to stability and prominence during and after the pandemic. He maintains membership in the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity ¬ International, Leadership Florida, and the Federal Bar Association – Broward Chapter. Chuck has been the Legal Chair on the Temple Dor Dorim Board of Directors for more than a decade, and sits on the Finance committee.
Chuck is married to Attorney Lisa Dolin Eiss, also a graduate of University of Miami School of Law. Together they have a son, Mason, now a third year at Georgetown Law. Chuck and his family enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and attending Miami Hurricane Football games as proud season ticket holders.
